About DBE

Direct Business Equipment has been established for over twenty years. Originally supplying cash registers to the northwest, the business has expanded greatly over the years. In 2003 acquired two local companies, Computatill South in Sale and Abacus Retail Equipment in Wrexham as much for the quality of the two proprietors who have now become important members of DBE, as the additional customers. We now supply both EPoS Systems and CCTV Systems all over the U.K, into Europe and all over the world.

We have EPOS systems in Gambia’s largest supermarket, SPAR Stores on the Island of St Helena, In cinemas throughout Germany, Cyprus and even the Falklands for SSVC. And in bars, restaurants and stores for the troops in places like Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Kosovo with sales data coming back to central offices in Monaco.
In the UK we supply many household names such as Thistle Hotels, Revolution Bars, Worldwide Foods, Carillion Construction, Shere Khan, Gwent Healthcare, Urbis, MANCAT, Powerleague, Goals and many more.

Due to the large area we now cover, with many locations being very remote we have to use the most reliable hardware and software available. That is why we insist on working very closely with Toshiba and Casio, two of the very best hardware manufacturers.

We also specialise in DPOS & Stockade SQL Software packages, probably the most reliable, comprehensive packages available today.

The growth of the company is a direct result of the values we have. Customer service, is not a department, it is the priority of every individual within the business. The result of this is we retain customers, many of who have been with us from the start, and have replaced their systems 4 or 5 times over the years. And a large amount of our new business comes from referrals.

While many of our clients are national accounts, every DBE customer receives the same high level of service, which includes late night and weekend telephone support direct to engineers.

In March 2003 we moved to our new offices in Ashton Under Lyne where we now have the luxury of ample customer parking, a spacious showroom to display all the latest technology and dedicated training facilities where we constantly welcome current and prospective customers. We also have purpose built production rooms so you can rest assured that all the equipment that we install has been configured and tested thoroughly in a professional environment.
